Do I need an account or internet to write?
No. Readvely works offline. Your works, chapters, and library assets are stored on your device. Internet is only needed for ads (free tier), Premium subscription, or optional App Store updates.
How do I back up or move to a new phone?
Open Settings → Backup & Restore → Export Backup and save the .zip file to Files (iCloud Drive or On My iPhone). On your new device, install Readvely and use Restore from Backup to select that .zip file.
How do I import an existing novel?
In Works, tap + → Start a Work → Import Manuscript, then pick a .txt, .rtf, or .html file (EPUB is not supported for import). Readvely detects chapter headings like “Chapter 1” or “第一章”. Review the preview, then save. To bring in an ebook, convert it to .txt first; you can export works as .epub from ⚙️ → Export.
What’s the difference between Library and work Notes?
Library holds reusable assets (ideas, characters, worldbuilding) you can link to multiple works. Notes on a work’s detail page are quick memos kept inside that project only—they are not imported from Library.
How does Premium work?
Free users can create up to 1 work. When the limit is reached, New Work offers an optional rewarded ad, or use Settings → Rewards to unlock +1 slot (network required). The first New Work may show a short bottom sheet explaining this. Premium allows unlimited works and hides Rewards. Subscribe in Settings → Premium; restore on a new device with Restore Purchases. Manage billing in Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Why doesn’t my chapter save when I tap Back?
Tap Save in the top bar before leaving, or choose Save when prompted. The editor also autosaves while you type. If you see “Unsaved Changes,” confirm Save to keep your edits.
Is my writing synced to the cloud?
No automatic cloud sync. Use Backup & Restore or export individual works as .txt for your own backup strategy.
